The fee-based activities include a winemaker experience where passengers create, bottle and label their own custom bottle of wine, with the option of creating up to a case of their wine to take home. A winemaker dinner combines the winemaking experience with a group dining event where participants make at least two bottles of wine, one to take home and one to share in a blind tasting during the dinner.
A wine tasting college consists of a series of 60-minute educational programs, and the ‘World Series of Wine’ re-creates a famous 1976 European wine competition featured in the movie ‘Bottle Shock’ for an event that mingles wine tasting and movie viewing.
Blend Craft recruits its on-board winemakers from Napa, California, where they have an average of more than 10 years of wine industry experience including work as professional winemakers.
The wine activities will be offered on MSC Poesia’s Jan. 28 and Feb. 11 western Caribbean cruises and Feb. 4 and 18 eastern Caribbean routes. Each week-long voyage operates round-trip Fort Lauderdale.
