PROXIMITY OF AIRPORTS AT THE PORT OF
JACKSONVILLE
The
city's major airport is Jacksonville
International Airport (JAX). Located
about 12 miles from the cruise terminal,
JAX provides non-stop flights to major
U.S. cities, including those that serve
as international gateways. More than a
dozen major airlines and a network of
regional carriers provide some 200 daily
arrivals and departures at JAX.
Jacksonville International Airport is
located one mile west of I-95 (exit
363-B). Taxi and shuttle service is
available from JAX to the JAXPORT Cruise
Terminal.
We recommend that if you are booking
your flights to your cruise from
Jacksonville, that you consider arriving
a day or two early so that you can take
advantage of the local attractions as
well as avoiding potential flight
delays, baggage collection and transfer
problems that could occur.
If you are arriving the same day as
your cruise departs, please schedule
your flights to arrive at JAX no later
than 2:00 pm on the day of the sailing.
If this is not possible, you will need
to come in a day early. For return flights, do not schedule
any flights departing earlier than 12:00
from JAX.
PARKING AT THE PORT OF JACKSONVILLE
Parking
is available at the Port of Jacksonville
for $10 per day (rates subject to change
by the Port Authority). The
outdoor parking lot is fenced and
lighted with 24-hour security
patrol. No advance reservations
are required and the accepted forms of
payment in U.S. dollars and most major
credit cards. Oversized
recreational vehicles will pay $20 per
day. The parking lot is adjacent
to the terminal building, requiring only
a short walk.

If you
are planning to stay the night in
Jacksonville no problem. There are
hundreds of Jacksonville area hotels and inns to choose
from.
