In an era when most mass-market cruise lines are racing to build the next "biggest mega-liner," Windjammer is committed to saving and sailing the noble and historic vessels of yesteryear. Windjammer Barefoot Cruises is the largest operator of Tall Ships in the world and the exact opposite of what you would expect on a more mainstream cruise vacation. Forget the tuxedos and cocktail dresses. On Windjammer, informality rules! T-shirts and shorts are all you need.
Windjammer is a way of life - a vacation for some and a lifestyle for others. Experience the thrill of tall ship cruising - where the day begins with complimentary Bloody Mary's and the day ends sipping a rum swizzle while chilling in a toga or your best pirate gear. Each week, experienced Captains and crew chart a smooth course to the hidden corners of paradise - to pristine anchorages and far-flung ports you'd never find on a traditional cruise ship. They believe in barefoot fun and real down-island adventure. That much, they can promise.
Why a Windjammer Barefoot Cruise
Sailing is romantic, exciting, and adventurous. Windjammer's historic ships captivate sailors and land lubbers alike. Ducking under booms, leaning against the railing a few feet above the sea, watching the crew work the winches and climb the masts are constant reminders that these are legendary vessels.
Sailors have more fun. These are lazy days for some, filled with tropical drinks, billowing sarongs and dreamy sunsets. For others, tall ship sailing is pure adventure. No matter what your speed, there is no better way to explore the Caribbean than under the sail of a Windjammer tall ship!
