Cultural Treasures of Nassau with Traditional Lunch

Experience the vibrant culture of Nassau with this hands-on and intimate tour of Bahamian culture! Immerse yourself in the spirit of this tropical paradise and truly feel connected to its people.

The tour begins with a warm welcome from your friendly and knowledgeable guides. You'll discover the rich history, traditions, and customs that make this destination so unique. Our expert guides will share fascinating stories and insights as you explore local neighborhoods, iconic landmarks, and hidden gems.

Our first stop will embark on a cultural journey at Parliament Square, originally built by Loyalists who left North Carolina to The Bahamas in the latter part of the 1700's. This popular attraction features Colonial-influenced pink buildings and includes the House of Assembly, the Senate Building, and the Supreme Court of The Bahamas - and they are wonderfully symbolic of the past, present, and future of the country. After you indulge in the history of the Bahamas, we will make a sweet detour to The Rum Cake Factory for delicious Bahamian treats. Then, we will glide over the majestic Sir Sidney Bridge, capturing the essence of Nassau from the comfort of your seat.

Continuing our adventure, you will get ready for a thrilling 30-minute stop at Atlantis, a world-renowned wonder that will leave you awe-inspired. You will marvel at the141-acre water park, 14 unique pools, and 5 miles of white sand beaches that Atlantis features. As we pick up the pace, discover the local history at Queens Staircase, a walkway of 66 steps in Nassau, carved out of solid limestone rock by 600 slaves between 1793 and 1794 to create an escape route from the fort above. Feel free to indulge in some souvenir shopping to help you later reminisce about this memory. Next, venture to the "over da hill" community to grasp the authentic Bahamian lifestyle, passing by the stately Government House and pausing at the Chocolate Factory/Cuban Cigar Factory for a delightful break.

Last, but not least, your artistic journey ends with a visit to the National Art Gallery and a savoring, aromatic experience at Tasty Teas. You will then feel the island breeze at the Fish Fry/Beach Stop, where you will devour the true taste of paradise and the ultimate Caribbean feast, ending your tour with a perfect outdoor interlude.

Don't miss out on this enriching tour, an immersive experience that allows you to touch, taste, and truly feel the heart of Nassau.
