Begin your immersion in all things Victoria and start your day with a trip to the Butchart Gardens early to avoid the crowds. Be provided with up to two hours to explore the gardens and browse the gift shop.

Continue from here and make your way to the Butterfly Gardens. The Gardens, located in the Greater Victoria region of Brentwood Bay, are one of the most popular tourist sites in the Victoria area. Thousands of tropical butterflies (up to 70 species) fly through the large facilities, the size of almost three basketball courts. Be provided close to one hour to explore this magnificent facility.

By now you may have worked up a thirst, so your next stop will be a local wine tasting at Church and State Winery. This winery strives to produce wines that over-deliver and the results speak from themselves: the winery has been named producer of Canada's Best Red Wine seven times since 2009, and received countless Gold medals, Best in Class awards and National trophies for both red and white wines. By focusing on the unique terroir of their South Okanagan Valley and Vancouver Island vineyards, these wines continually represent the cutting-edge of what is capable in Canadian viticulture and winemaking. You will then have the option to take your lunch at the winery's Bistro, or you may choose to have a simple lunch at the Red Barn Market where they make the best sandwiches on the island.

From there, enjoy a scenic country drive back to Victoria to make your way to the historical Craigdarroch Castle. Built by coal baron Robert Dunsmuir during the reign of Queen Victoria, this historic, Victorian-era Scottish Baronial mansion was designated a National Historic Site of Canada due to its landmark status in Victoria.

Round out your day with a panoramic city highlights tour visiting some of the most beautiful sites including the Lieutenant Governor's Estate, Beacon Hill Park, Mile 0, Fisherman's Wharf House Boat Community, and Canada's oldest Chinatown. Stop for photos at the Inner Harbor where the Empress Hotel and Parliament Buildings are located.
