Pisa and Florence Day Trip with Private Driver

In Tuscany's famed cities, Florence and Pisa, tour on your own terms. Design your own itinerary and spend a full day seeing exactly what you want to see in your own private Livorno excursion.

Have you always fantasized about seeing the iconic leaning Tower of Pisa and Michaelangelo's David? Or do you want to see some of the hidden gems of Tuscany? If you have specific goals in mind for your trip to Florence and Pisa, then this is the tour for you! You design this trip all on your own!

On this Livorno excursion, cruise around Florence and Lucca in a private minivan, with an itinerary you've designed yourself. An English-speaking driver will bring you to whatever sites you choose in Florence and Pisa. Just sit back and relax as a chauffeur makes getting around the cities a snap.

The capital of Tuscany and cradle of the Italian Renaissance, Florence is one of the most important and beautiful cities in Italy. Visit the town hall, the fortress-like Palazzo Vecchio with its soaring bell tower. Outside, in the Piazza della Signoria, take in the imposing figure of the god of the sea at the Fountain of Neptune, where he stands tall, surrounded by laughing satyrs and charging sea horses. The piazza also has a reproduction of Michaelangelo's David, or you can go see the real deal at the Accademia di Belle Arti. Or visit the wonderful Uffizi Gallery to see pieces like Botticelli's The Birth of Venus.

If Gothic architecture is your interest, visit the elaborate Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore in Piazza del Duomo, right in the heart of the city. Whether it's walking on the narrow streets and exploring the cafes and restaurants that offer some of Italy's finest food and wine, experiencing the history and art of the region at the numerous museums and monuments, or simply taking in the Renaissance architecture, Florence is a city of beautiful experiences.

Just a little over an hour away from Florence, Pisa sits on the mouth of the Arno River, on the west coast of Italy, not far from the Tyrrhenian Sea. The city is perhaps most known for its Leaning Tower in the Piazza dei Miracoli, or Cathedral Square. There you will also find the medieval cathedral, Duomo di Pisa, the cemetery, Campo Santo, and the Pisa Baptistry.

If you stay in this historical quarter of the city, Tramontana, you will also find the Piazza dei Cavalieri or Knights' Square, and the Palazzo Reale, or Royal Palace, which Francesco I of the Medici family had designed by famed artist and architect, Bernardo Buontalenti.

Along with the beautiful churches that pepper the town of Pisa, you will also find several old palazzos, many museums and galleries, and Europe's oldest university botanical garden, Orto Botanico di Pisa. In the historical heart of the city visit the scenic Lungarni, streets with palazzos and villas that run by the river Arno.

It's all up to you! See everything that interests you on this private tour of Florence and Pisa.

Please Note: This tour is self-paced with a custom itinerary of your choosing. The tour does not include entrance fees, parking fees, tolls, or gratuities.

Though your English-speaking driver can provide commentary while driving you around, they cannot act as a guide outside of the car. The driver will be happy to make suggestions about the best places to eat throughout the day..
