Debark the ship in Whittier and board your coach, heading to Anchorage. En route, visit the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, a sanctuary dedicated to preserving Alaska's wildlife through conservation, education, research, and quality animal care. Upon arrival, you will meet your local guide, who will show you around the facility and introduce you to their local "residents". Next stop, you'll board an aerial tram. Take a three- to seven-minute scenic ride from Alyeska Resort to the top of Mt. Alyeska. At an elevation of 2,300 feet, on a clear day you'll enjoy views of the Turnagain Arm, up to seven "hanging" glaciers, and endless peaks deep into the Chugach Mountain range. Transfer to your hotel in Anchorage. Check in at the hotel with time to refresh before regrouping in the evening for a welcome dinner. Please note: When the Alyeska Aerial Tram is not open in May, the visit will be replaced by the Alaska Native Heritage Center, the premiere cultural center representing all Alaska Native cultures, peoples, and ways of life.

After breakfast, check out of the hotel and travel from Anchorage to Denali. En route, stop in Palmer for a presentation about farming in Alaska and the history of the people who colonized the area, given by a true Alaskan local. Today, Palmer is a garden hub for the state, and its unique microclimate produces amazing giant vegetables. Next, transfer to the Denali hotel, check in, and enjoy an evening at your leisure.

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before joining other Alaska travelers on the "Tundra Wilderness Tour" bus into Denali National Park. Magnificent wildlife, vast tundra, and the towering Denali are among the highlights of this world-famous park. The driver-guide will share information and stories about the park, while pointing out wildlife. A boxed lunch is included today. You'll also attend a presentation by a local Naturalist at the Denali Discovery Center, followed by a wine and cheese reception. Return to the hotel, with the remainder of the day free to explore the area or enjoy the hotel's facilities. Dinner is on your own this evening.

This morning, enjoy breakfast at the hotel and some free time. You can choose optional tours or explore on your own. At a designated time, board the train to Talkeetna. The Deluxe Dome Railcar features two levels, with all passenger seating located on the upper level beneath large dome windows. A Rail Guide will provide commentary along the journey. This 122-mile route (approximately 4.5 hours) offers an ideal introduction to the vast landscape and remote beauty of Alaska. Upon arrival into Talkeetna, board your coach to Anchorage. Check in at the Anchorage hotel and enjoy the evening at your leisure.
Day 15 - Monday - Jul 27, 2026
Enjoy breakfast and the hotel facilities until your scheduled departure for your transfer to Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport (ANC) for your return flight home.
