Day 1 - Sunday - Jun 7, 2026
Upon arrival at Fairbanks International Airport (FAI), you'll be greeted and assisted with your luggage before being transferred to your hotel. There, your local Alaska tour director will meet you and assist with check-in. If you arrive before 4:00 pm check-in time, you can leave your luggage with reception until your room is ready. The remainder of the day is yours to enjoy at your leisure.
Day 2 - Monday - Jun 8, 2026
Spend the day discovering Alaska's largest Interior city. After breakfast, you'll board Riverboat Discovery for a three-hour tour that takes you into the heart of Alaska, where you'll meet a family that has lived and worked along Alaska's rivers for five generations. Next, visit Gold Daughters, a small local business founded by two sisters who were born and raised in Fairbanks. They grew up panning for gold alongside their father and continue the tradition today. Try your hand at panning for gold as you hear their stories and explore an authentic Gold Mine Museum.

Start your day with boarding the Deluxe Dome Railcar for a scenic journey from Fairbanks to Denali National Park. Enjoy breakfast on board and take in the stunning 360-degree views from your reserved seat in the upper-level dome or the outdoor viewing platform. Upon arrival in Denali, join fellow travelers for the Tundra Wilderness Tour, a guided bus excursion into the park to spot wildlife such as bears, moose, caribou, and more. Your Driver Guide will share stories and information about Denali while pointing out wildlife along the way. A box lunch is provided during the tour. The remainder of the day is yours to explore the area or enjoy your hotel's amenities. Dinner is included this evening.
Day 4 - Wednesday - Jun 10, 2026

Check out after breakfast at the hotel. This morning, visit the Denali Discovery Center for a presentation and reception to listen to a local Naturalist share stories about life in Alaska, followed by a guided walk through the surrounding trails. Depart Denali by coach, heading to Talkeetna. Once there, board a guided jet boat and cruise along the shoreline of the Susitna River. You'll enjoy a short nature walk to see an authentic trapper's cabin with original furnishings, showcasing how trappers lived in the Alaskan "Bush". Additionally, you'll visit a recreated Dena'ina Encampment, where a naturalist will provide information about the local flora and fauna. After the boat tour, check into your hotel. The remainder of the day is at your leisure. You may choose to visit the Talkeetna Museum, stop by the Ranger Station, explore local art galleries, or opt for a flightseeing tour (each at an additional cost). Or, simply unwind and enjoy the lodge's amenities. Dinner is on your own this evening.
Day 5 - Thursday - Jun 11, 2026
Meet in the lobby after breakfast and depart for Anchorage for a city tour, including a visit to the Alaska Native Heritage Center, a premier cultural center showcasing Alaska Native cultures, peoples, and traditions. Experience traditional dancing, storytelling, carving demonstrations, and artist presentations. You'll even get to see how Alaska native ice cream is made. Afterward, continue to the port city of Whittier to board your Azamara cruise.
