To ensure the guests travel with total confidence, Explora has partnered with leading medical experts and governmental authorities from around the world. And Explora continues to work with the relevant governing bodies and health authorities to evolve the health and safety procedures.
Your Safety
As you can imagine, the guests' well-being and safety are Explora's primary concerns. Every aspect of your journey has undergone meticulous planning: increased sanitation measures, upgraded air filtration systems and enhanced medical facilities are all in place to ensure that the overall experience is focused on your comfort and enjoyment in a safe environment.
- Thoughtful hosts: As thoughtful hosts, Explora cares not just for what you may require but also how you feel. To that end, all your hosts are fully vaccinated.
- Medical Service Onboard: The preventative health and safety steps in the procedures are designed to mitigate the risk of any health-related transmission on board.
In the event that someone should fall sick, Explora has a fully equipped onboard 24/7 Medical Centre with highly qualified medical staff who are fully trained and who are supported by a 24/7 onshore medical team.
In case of flu-like or other symptoms, guests should immediately notify the Medical Centre where complimentary treatment will be provided. If the onboard medical team suspects a contagious case, a comprehensive procedure and response plan will be activated in close cooperation with the health authorities.
In an extreme case of contagious risk, the guest could be asked to isolate within their suite. If a guest is then not considered fit to travel or is required to interrupt their journey, they will be assisted in their next steps to return home or will be potentially treated in a local medical facility to ensure maximum support and care.
Note: Explora strongly encourages guests to check their current insurance coverage or purchase travel insurance that includes coverage for COVID-19.
Intensive Sanitation
Explora Journeys observes the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the ship. There is continuous disinfection of public areas, and suites have daily intensive botanical non-toxic microbial disinfection. All guests are encouraged to engage in frequent handwashing. Hand sanitizer is accessible at all times throughout the ship.
- Air Filtration: Upgraded air filtration systems have been installed to continuously supply fresh and filtered air throughout the ship.
Life Onboard
The ship allows the guests to enjoy ample and uncrowded indoor and outdoor public spaces. Restaurants, lounges and bars, entertainment and enrichment activities, wellness facilities, outdoor areas and pools, as well as all other guest services and facilities are available and fully operational.
