Ocean Cay Marine Reserve - MSC Cruises' Private Island

Ocean Cay Marine Reserve, Bahamas - MSC Cruises' Private Island

Opening in November 2019, MSC Cruises welcomes cruise guests to its private island - Ocean Cay Marine Reserve. Originally taking a former sand mining site, MSC Cruises has turned this beautiful land into a vacation spot for its cruise guests, also this is the place to celebrate the natural beauty of the Bahamas while inspiring and educating guests about environmental protection.

To create an eco-friendly vacation destination, MSC Cruises has already planted thousands of native plants and has plans to work with biologists at their on-site marine lab to research and regenerate coral at the island, as well as repopulate marine species.

The 95-acre private Ocean Cay Marine Reserve is located in Bimini, only 65 miles away from Miami. Its short distance from Miami allows the cruise line's ships to stay at MSC's Ocean Cay longer, meaning more time to enjoy all the activities on the Island or just to relax in one of the most breathtaking places on earth.

Upon arrival at MSC's Ocean Cay, ships will dock directly at the island, giving cruise guests the opportunity to start exploring the island the moment they arrive.
