Seabourn Cruises Health & Safety Protocols
Seabourn has relaxed their global protocols and travel requirements for most cruises. Before you cruise, check the FAQs to find out if your voyage requires additional health regulation requirements.
Before you Leave Home
The week of your trip, practice recommended public health measures. Complete your pre-boarding health questionnaire and required documents prior to embarkation.
Boarding Protocols
Guests will be assigned a boarding time to embark, which will be provided closer to the sailing date. Physical distancing will be managed in the cruise terminal as guests arrive and check in.
Cruise Experience
- Mask-Wearing: Masks on board are recommended but not required indoors or outdoors.
- Distancing: Adequate physical distance from others should be maintained in terminals, on board and during shore excursions.
- Ventilation: Air management and ventilation strategies, enhanced filters and other technologies are employed where feasible to increase fresh air and mitigate risk of illness.
- Elevated Sanitation Protocols: Enhanced sanitation procedures on board will include some changes in service style for food and beverages, continuous sanitizing of surfaces, will use EPA-listed disinfectants proven to kill novel coronaviruses, and more numerous hand sanitizer stations.
- Enhanced Crew Health Screenings: All shipboard staff will undergo daily temperature checks and COVID-19 surveillance checks. Crew will also be tested routinely.
- Medical Capability: A risk-based response plan is in place to manage medical needs, including dedicated suites allocated for isolation and other operational measures on board, and advance arrangements have been made with private providers for quarantine accommodation, medical care and transportation ashore.
- Emergency Response in Case of Infection: For your peace of mind, a rigorous emergency response plan has been prepared to screen and isolate ill person(s) when necessary; trace, notify and isolate their contacts and arrange for medical evacuation if necessary.
