Health & Medical Requirements

All guests are required to report in writing to Silversea at the time reservation is made:

• Any physical condition that may require medical or professional treatment or attention during the voyage.
• Any condition that may render the guest unfit for travel, or that may require special care or assistance.
• Any condition that may pose a risk or danger to the guest or anyone else onboard the ship.
• Any condition that may require oxygen for medical reasons.
• Any intention or need to use a wheelchair, other mobility device, or a service or assistance animal aboard ship.

By booking passage and boarding the ship, the guest represents and warrants fitness to travel and compliance with applicable rules, regulations, and orders of ship officers and medical staff. Silversea reserves the right without liability to require a guest to disembark and/or refuse boarding and transport to anyone judged unfit to travel or requiring care beyond reasonably provided limits. Silversea strongly recommends mobility-impaired guests travel with someone able to assist both ashore and at sea. Wheel-on and/or wheel-off access may not be available at some ports of call, and guests requiring collapsible wheelchairs must provide their own equipment.

For guests traveling aboard Expedition Fleet vessels, accessible assistance limitations and portable equipment requirements remain consistent with fleet standards.

Medical Information

Inoculations

Generally, inoculations are not required in most regions where Silversea travels. Requirements are subject to change and should be verified with a travel professional prior to departure. When traveling to countries requiring inoculations, written verification is necessary.

Medical Services On Board

Each Silversea ship is equipped with a Medical Centre customarily staffed by a doctor and nurse on 24-hour call when at sea. When docked, supplemental emergency care may be obtained through local medical facilities. Fees apply for medical services and medications. The Medical Centre is not designed for ongoing treatment of chronic conditions or extended critical care.

Prescription Medication

Guests should bring an adequate supply of prescription medications, as prescriptions cannot be refilled onboard or overseas. Traveling with a physician letter and keeping medications in original labeled containers facilitates customs clearance.
