In 2028, Ponant once again pushes the boundaries of modern polar exploration with the complete circumnavigation of Antarctica. Aboard Le Commandant Charcot, a state-of-the-art polar exploration vessel, set sail on a 62-day odyssey in the heart of the austral summer, following nearly 23,000 km of ice-covered coastline, and getting closer than ever to one of the world’s last largely unexplored continents.
This unique trip takes you beyond the Antarctic coastline, exploring rarely-visited areas like the east coast of the Antarctic Peninsula, the Weddell Sea, Erebus and Terror Gulf, and Antarctic Sound. The voyage includes two stunning flightseeing excursions and one heli-landing, plus Zodiac trips to view large colonies of Adelie penguins and other wildlife, with plenty of opportunities to explore on foot.
Discover the magic of Antarctica on curated expeditions sailing November through February, with a 26-person Expedition Team as your guide. See penguins, whales and other diverse wildlife up close or from the comfort of your luxury expedition ship, kayak around icebergs and massive glaciers, explore onshore and beneath the ocean’s surface in a 6-person submarines on a voyage full of life-expanding moments.
Setting foot on the 7th Continent is a polar milestone relatively few people achieve in their lifetime, but even more rare is crossing the iconic Antarctic Circle.
